Season 14 of the Canadian Dragons' Den aired starting in the fall of 2019. We track four of its pitches here, each one followed past the moment the ask hit the floor.
CBC broadcasts the ask but rarely the boardroom result, so for most of these the deal question stays open and we say so plainly. Where a founder or a news outlet has confirmed an outcome, we spell it out with the source.
Four season 14 pitches sit in our Canadian files, and they split neatly by how much we can verify. C-Spray carries a genuinely instructive deal: its founder landed every dollar of the $100,000 ask but surrendered 40 percent plus a 10 percent royalty, about as heavy as Den terms get.
The other three, Caribou, Norden and Haystax Mortgage, are quieter on outcomes. CBC aired their asks, not the results, so we describe the numbers and, where the present-day trail allows, the current state of each business. Caribou is plainly thriving; Norden's standing is a caution flag we could not clear.
Read as a group, this is a season where one confirmed, founder-heavy deal anchors a set of otherwise open questions, which is a fair picture of how much the broadcast actually reveals.
One heavily-priced confirmed deal, three asks the cameras never resolved.
