About the show

Dragons' Den Canada, in brief

Dragons' Den is CBC's long-running pitch program, the Canadian branch of the international Dragons' Den format, where entrepreneurs stand in front of a panel of investors, the Dragons, and ask for money in exchange for a slice of their business.

This is our front door to the Canadian side of the show. We track individual pitches, break down the ask each entrepreneur made, and follow what we can verify about the deals and the companies afterward.

One honest limitation shapes everything here. CBC publishes the ask for each pitch, the amount and the equity, but it does not publish whether a Dragon actually invested. So the ask math on these pages is solid fact, while any deal outcome appears only when we could source it from news, interviews or the companies themselves. Where we could not, we say so plainly rather than guess.

The Dragons

Recent seasons of Dragons' Den Canada have been anchored by a panel of Arlene Dickinson, the marketing entrepreneur behind Venture Communications; Manjit Minhas, co-founder of Minhas Breweries; Michele Romanow, the tech entrepreneur and Clearbanc co-founder; Wes Hall, founder of Kingsdale Advisors; and Brian Scudamore, the 1-800-GOT-JUNK founder who joined the panel in season 19. These names are drawn from CBC's own current cast listing.

The panel has shifted over the years, with other Dragons rotating through, and CBC has featured guest Dragons as well, including Drew Scott appearing during the show's milestone 20th season.

Season 21 is set to premiere on CBC on September 17, 2026, which will bring a fresh run of pitches and, as always, asks we can verify and outcomes we will only report once a reliable source confirms them.
