How We Decide a Pitch Is Still Selling

The most common question we get is simple: is it still for sale? The honest answer needs a method, not a guess.
This note lays out the rule every pitch page follows so you can trust the badge when you see it.
Evidence, not a flag
Some data sources carry a still-selling flag. We treat that flag as a hint to go look, never as proof.
A pitch only earns a still-selling badge and a buy link when we can point to a current listing that backs it up, and we record the month we checked.
Three honest states
Still selling means we found a live listing. Unverified means we did not, which is a dead end and not a verdict. Closed means we saw an actual wind-down, not just a missing page.
Keeping those three apart is the whole job. It is why a no-deal pitch can still be selling, and why a televised handshake never becomes a sale on our say-so.
