What they pitched in the Den
Extend Robotics struck a deal of £150,000 for 25% of the business, backed by Peter Jones, who reportedly compared the technology to something out of Iron Man during the pitch.
Founded by Dr Chang Liu in 2019, the company built a cloud based software platform called AMAS, for Advanced Mechanical Assistance System, letting users control robotic arms remotely from anywhere with an internet connection, originally pitched with hospitality and remote service applications in mind.

Companies House lists Extend Robotics Limited, company number 12171849, as active, incorporated in August 2019, shortly before the pitch aired.
The company's own site was live when we checked, now describing a broader set of applications across agriculture, offshore energy, manufacturing, healthcare, space and nuclear sectors rather than just hospitality, alongside a Universal Robots UR+ certification. As recently as December 2025, Extend Robotics took part in a SenseGlove R1 exoskeleton glove launch event at the manufacturer's Rotterdam headquarters, demonstrating VR teleoperation integrated with new haptic hardware.
