Lloyd Haxell and Tasha Harris pitched a coffee-based scrub they first mixed at home as a remedy for eczema, before turning the recipe into a proper personal care brand.

The short answer is yes, and the range on offer today looks considerably bigger than the single scrub that got the founders into the Den.

The Terms

The pair wanted £30,000 for a 45 percent stake, a large slice of equity for a fairly small amount of cash, and Sarah Willingham is recorded as the Dragon who backed the pitch at those same numbers.

Handing over a big chunk of ownership for modest capital is a common trade-off for very early food and beauty ventures, where founders typically need working money more than they need to hold onto every point of equity.

A Bigger Range Today

By previous accounts, the company has since broadened out from that original scrub into a wider personal care lineup covering anti-ageing skincare and health supplements, selling the whole thing directly through its own site.

The brand was also reportedly picked up by a major high street pharmacy chain at one stage, a meaningful listing for a small personal care label, adding a second route to customers on top of its own direct sales.

Note: Based on the public record; company situations can change, so treat this as a snapshot.
