House of Elrick brought its Aberdeenshire heritage gin into the Den in series 15, with founder Stuart Ingram after eighty thousand pounds for just ten percent of the business, a deal Peter Jones took on.

Reports describe a distillery that kept growing its export markets well beyond the UK.

A Bold Valuation For A Young Distillery

Offering only ten percent for eighty thousand pounds put the business at an eight hundred thousand pound valuation on the day of the pitch, a confident figure for a young craft distillery that had barely begun building out where its bottles could be bought.

Distilled at Ingram's own historic house in Newmachar, the gin carried a genuine sense of place that tends to help spirits brands stand out once they move past their home market and start competing on a shelf full of similar-looking bottles.

Export Growth

Older reporting describes the distillery continuing to make and sell its range, building a customer base abroad that reportedly now takes in Canada and the United States, plus further outposts in Croatia and Denmark, on top of sales through UK airport retail.

That kind of international spread is a solid signal for a small regional distillery, since every new market means a fresh importer relationship rather than another shelf in the same shop.
