Ben Ansah and Sue Youn pitched Korean stir-fry and dipping sauces built on Youn's family recipes, in series 13.

The brand appears to still be operating, though these days it works mainly through wholesalers rather than a flashy consumer storefront.

From a Market Stall to National Supermarkets

The pair asked for £50,000 for a third of the business, a substantial stake reflecting how early things still were at the time.

Peter Jones took the whole deal, and his food and retail contacts moved fast. Not long after the show aired, both Sainsbury's and Tesco picked up the sauces, quite a jump from a stall in Leather Lane market, with Selfridges following shortly after.

A Quieter Kind of Longevity

These days the brand keeps a lower public profile, working mostly through wholesalers and distributor deals rather than chasing consumer headlines, a route plenty of food businesses take once demand is proven and the priority shifts to production.

Company records still show Yogiyo trading, and the range reaches customers today through a UK distributor plus specialist retailers including Thai Food Direct, backed by an active social media following.

Surviving Does Not Always Look Flashy

Not every company that makes it looks like a polished direct-to-consumer shop with a big following. Some carry on mainly through wholesale, quietly supplying restaurants without much public marketing at all.

A product still landing on real plates through channels a shopper might not stumble across online still counts as a working business, and that is roughly where the evidence points here.

Note: Based on the public record; company situations can change, so treat this as a snapshot.
