Is Igloo Still in Business? (2026 Update)
Anthony Coates-Smith and Alistair Turner pitched Igloo in season 4, offering a specialist chilled and frozen transport service for clients needing food and pharmaceuticals moved under strict temperature control.
This one needs a slightly longer answer than a plain yes or no. The original company behind the pitch was dissolved in 2013, but the Igloo Thermo brand and business is still actively trading today, now run through a different registered company.
What they pitched in the Den
Igloo agreed a deal of £160,000 for 22.5% of the business, backed jointly by Duncan Bannatyne and Richard Farleigh, one of the more generous equity terms for the Dragons in this batch.
Coates-Smith and Turner started the business in 2004 with two vans, delivering chilled and frozen goods for clients including Marks & Spencer and pharmaceutical firms, and grew it into a fleet based operation valued at a reported £4 million within a few years, making them among the first Dragons' Den entrepreneurs to become millionaires off the back of the show.
Are they still trading?
Companies House shows the original entity, Igloo Thermo-Logistics Ltd, company number 05076704, as dissolved on 6 February 2013. That is a real closure, not a rumour, and it means the exact company the Dragons invested in no longer exists.
However, the Igloo Thermo brand kept operating, and its current site, igloothermo.com, names its registered operator as company number 07092695, which Companies House confirms as Total Temperature Management Ltd, an active company incorporated in December 2009. In other words, the business restructured under a new corporate entity rather than closing outright.
Can you still use the service?
Yes. As of our check, igloothermo.com was live, describing a fleet of more than 150 temperature controlled vehicles, same day and next day delivery, and BRC, MHRA and ISO9001 accreditation, all details consistent with an active logistics operation rather than a dormant site.
If you are trying to trace this specific Dragons' Den deal for due diligence purposes, it is worth noting explicitly that the original investee company is dissolved, even though the trading brand and service it built continues today under different corporate ownership.
