What happened next
The deal is confirmed. A Newswire press release reports the founders locked in an investment from Michele Romanow, the venture capitalist and Clearbanc co-founder, on their Dragons' Den appearance.
Kabo is still very much operating. As of July 2026 its site ran a Build Your Box subscription flow with six recipes plus a full cart and account system.

The Hub verdict
Kabo's $250,000 for 20 percent ask valued the fresh-food brand at $1.25 million, and unlike the other pet-food pitch we track, this one has a sourced ending: a press release confirms a Michele Romanow investment. The two facts we can stand behind, a documented deal and a live Build Your Box subscription flow, both hold up. It is a useful contrast with Nutricanine, same category, similar ask logic, but only one carries a confirmed outcome. For a subscription business, a documented investor plus a working recurring-order flow is about as clean a two-part verification as this batch offers.
