The pitch
What walked into the Den
Cooks Who Feed reached season 20, episode 7, with Welland couple Seema and Nishant Sanghavi pitching ethically made aprons paired with a meal-donation program.
Came looking for $75,000 for a portion of 10 percent, which placed the value at about $750,000.

The store is live and selling. In July 2026 we found aprons at $72 each with a working cart and strong reviews on bestsellers, and the company describes a give-back model in which each apron funds donated meals, saying it has passed two million meals to date, a figure we relay as its own claim.
Our read
The Hub verdict
A tidy ask, a small five-figure sum against a tenth of the business at a three-quarter-million price, sits alongside the real hook of this pitch, a give-back model in which each apron funds donated meals. Mission-driven brands often pitch modest numbers because the story does part of the selling.
No outcome aired, so we report no deal. The shop is confirmed live and selling, and the brand's headline claim of two million donated meals is exactly that, its own figure rather than an audited one, so we attribute it plainly. An open store proves sales; it says nothing about whether a Dragon came aboard.
A mission brand with a modest ask and a live, well-reviewed shop.
Worth knowing: The donation total is the brand’s stated number rather than something we audited, and a live shop confirms sales, not the result of the pitch.
