Our read

The Hub verdict

Handing a Dragon 50% of your business is as far as most founders will go, and Caner Veli went there: 100,000 pounds for an even half of Liquiproof, a 200,000-pound valuation split straight down the middle. Touker Suleyman took the deal as offered. A fifty-fifty arrangement changes the whole relationship, turning the investor into a full partner with an equal say, so this is less a cash injection than a marriage. Veli clearly wanted Suleyman's retail muscle badly enough to share control from day one. What the waterproofing brand did with that partnership after 2016 is not something the episode can answer, and it is the piece we would confirm before making any claim about buying the product now.

A fifty-fifty deal that made the Dragon an equal partner.

Worth knowing: The deal above is public record from the episode. We never treat an on-air handshake as proof a product is still for sale today.
