Our read
The Hub verdict
Children's cutlery is a narrow niche, but a repeatable one, and Catherine and Chris Baldrey-Chourio pitched Nana's Manners on that promise: 50,000 pounds for 20%, a 250,000-pound valuation. Touker Suleyman, whose strength is getting products into shops, backed it as offered. A fifth of the company for a retail-minded Dragon is a trade many founders would happily make, since shelf space is the whole game for a physical kids' product. The couple kept majority ownership. The part the 2017 episode cannot tell us is how the cutlery sold once the Den lights dimmed, and that is precisely the kind of claim we insist on verifying rather than assuming.
Worth knowing: The deal above is public record from the episode. We never treat an on-air handshake as proof a product is still for sale today.
